Its common to have an employee move from one position to another- bar tender to host or prep to cook and its not realistic to make them clock in an out multiple times in a shift to track this information.
Why should we implement this
Another vendor we are looking at has a feature to tell the software to auto allocate the time based on the schedule. With one click, the software allocates his time and the employee no longer has to punch in and out for use to be able to track time in different departments. This is helpful b/c we have metrics we track where % of total labor should be prep vs production, as an example. When trying to dial in labor, its easier to see if we are spending too much labor in one department vs another while also having employees working multiple dept. in a shift. |
