I would like to turn off the supervisors' ability to change pay rates, but cannot do so because Ximble does not allow for admins to set the pay rate by position at a global level.

We have supervisors who change pay rates and then do not inform the individuals responsible for payroll (which is done through a separate system than Ximble). Since there is not time or manpower to verify each worker's pay rate (we have many workers) in Ximble and our payroll system, this miscommunication leads to us shorting our workers from time to time. This then must be corrected later, taking up more time and manpower.
Why should we implement this
I can't imagine I'm the only one who operates in an environment with set pay rates for particular positions... |
For each role in the system there is an option to tweak specific permissions (e.g. being able to view or edit pay rates are among those permissions).
An easy way to adjust the system would be to simply remove the ability for your supervisors to edit pay rates from their role setting, as shown on the screenshot below:
