We use Gusto as our payroll system.
Both Gusto and Ximble offer PTO and Sick Time policies and accruals.
Even is you mirror the accrual policies , the balances within the two systems quickly end up out of sync.
I would suggest that Ximble have an option where balances are pulled from payroll systems.

Why should we implement this
Tracking PTO in two systems leads to errors.
Since PTO balances appear on paystubs and if there is an audit with Department of Labor, payroll system should be the "source of truth".
Unfortunately, Gusto currently does not provide an API that would allow us to do this. We'll keep it in our backlog and continue to work with our partners at Gusto, so as soon as this becomes available we will re-evaluate.
